Discovering ADHD in Adulthood

Many adults learn they have ADHD later in life—often after years of feeling “off,” overwhelmed, or like they had to work twice as hard just to keep up. Finally having a name for it can be validating, but it can also stir up grief, frustration, and a long history of internalized self-doubt.

Adult ADHD can look like:

Mental and physical restlessness

Emotional reactivity or impulsivity

Trouble staying focused or following through

Chronic overwhelm, anxiety, or low self-confidence

Often, there’s trauma stored in the body from years of feeling misunderstood or judged. Brainspotting (BSP)  offers a powerful path to healing. It invites you to be still and gently observe where your thoughts and emotions go—without needing to explain or control them.

By accessing deeper brain and body processes, BSP helps release long-held patterns of anxiety, tension, and shame. It’s not just about managing symptoms—it’s about healing from the inside out.

Because some of the hardest work of adulthood is the (re)narration and integration of one’s life—and that’s where real change begins.  If this resonates,  reach out. I’d love to help.---
